Which was harsher? The desert west of Parker, AZ or the
flogging we put Polaris' new Ranger RZR XP 4 900 through in that same desert?
Probably the latter. We wanted to once again see just how
sound Polaris' claim that its RZRs are the best in the industry and that they
can withstand a beating in the harshest of conditions. We found that true on
other RZRs, including the XP 900 and RZR 4 800.
Add the RZR XP 4 900 to our list of machines that really
impress us. We put the newest RZR through a day of riding-nearly 80 miles in
all-in some pretty severe conditions, including all sorts of surfaces from pea
gravel to rock to whoops to sand to fine dust. Just how tough was the course we
rode? Many of the miles we took the RZR XP 4 900 through were on the same
course as the Parker 250, the first race of 2012 for the Best In The Desert
Racing Association, which was run the weekend before our ride on Polaris'
newest RZR.
We'll have a full report on the Ranger RZR XP 4 900-detailing
our likes and dislikes-in the March issue of Dirt Toys so watch for it. For
now, here are a few pictures from our ride.
