Are you looking for something fun to do in the Battle
Mountain, NV, area? Do you love the outdoors, riding all-terrain vehicles
(ATVs) and interacting with people? If you said yes to these questions then the
Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has the perfect volunteer position for you. The
BLM is looking for a volunteer host for the Shoshone Off-Highway Vehicle Trail
System (OHV), located 25 miles south of Battle Mountain on the east side of
State Route 305.
As the host, you would be an ambassador for the trail
system. Tasks include, recording the number of visitors, monitoring the type
and manner of use and educating visitors on appropriate ATV use. The BLM will
provide training, cost reimbursement at $25/day, quarters at the OHV Trail Head
and an ATV. The position would last from approximately June 15 to Sept. 30.
