We've been doing our level best to push summer up a bit,
riding as much as time and deadlines permit this spring. And you would think
after the somewhat dismal winter and lack of snow (at least that's what all the
weather reports you probably heard were saying) we wouldn't have any trouble
riding in the mountains in various places in the West.
Not so fast. We are still finding plenty of snow in lots of
places. Here are a few pictures from rides the past couple of weeks where we
had to turn back either because of snow or the roads were too muddy to ride and
we were trying to heed the forest service's recommendations of not riding in
certain places until it gets drier.
We'll keep on the throttle though, chasing snow as it retreats
to higher and higher elevations.
