Day two of our ride at the Rally of the Rocks in Moab, UT, was
even better than day one. The weather again was just about perfect--88 degrees
F--and the trail was awesome.
We tackled Poison Spider and we love this trail for its
variety of surfaces. There's everything from slick rock, boulders, technical
sections, small rock walls, sand and dirt. Then there's the Wedge, a fun
V-shaped section of trail that tests metal, mettle and tires.
We stopped for lunch at the arch. For those brave enough to
venture out on the arch, it's a mere 1,000 plus feet drop on the one side down
to the Colorado River. But the views from
there are amazing. We even witnessed something you just don't see everyday.
The Baltimore Ravens' Haloti Ngata did a
handstand on the arch. Darn impressive.
Everyone seemed to have a good time and we can't wait to go
riding again tomorrow. We'll be just across the Colorado
River from where we rode today as we head up to Moab Rim.
This evening we went to the rodeo arena to see the
first-ever Show-n-Shine at the Rally on the Rocks. We snapped a few pictures of
our favorites. There was a whole lot of bling.
