October 2013 Powersport News

Kawasaki, Kanagawa-Prefecture, Japan - BRP last week introduced its Can-Am Spyder roadster to the Japanese market during a launch event at the Canadian embassy in Japan. The touring model, the Can-Am Spyder RT roadster will be available in BRP dealerships around Japan starting in November 2013.

"BRP is excited to offer to Japanese consumers the unique opportunity to experience the next dimension in open-road riding," Chris Dawson, vice-president and general manager of the International division, said. "?The Can-Am Spyder roadster is a true success around the world surpassing sales of well established motorcycle brands in several countries. With no need for a motorcycle licence and its rich touring tradition, we feel confident that Japan will soon become one of the biggest markets for the roadster."

Powered by a proven Rotax engine, the Can-Am Spyder roadster with its unique Y-architecture can be described as part motorcycle and part convertible sports car. The next dimension in open-road riding, the Spyder roadster offers a balance of performance and peace of mind with features like the Vehicle Stability System (VSS), engineered in conjunction with Bosch, which includes anti-lock brakes and traction and stability control systems.

Originally launched in North America in 2007, the Can-Am roadster is now sold in many countries around the world. Numerous rider communities have also been created to provide opportunities for scenic rides and to share the experience among friends.
