The International OHV Administrators Association (INOHVAA) is joining local, regional and national organizations in promoting National ATV Safety Week.
The week is intended to highlight the importance of attending safety education classes for off-highway vehicle (OHV) enthusiasts and encouraging all youth riders to attend a safety class. Local OHV clubs and advocates should use this week to pass along their knowledge and skills of the sport to new riders, while highlighting safe and responsible riding ethics that clubs, agencies, and manufacturers all strive to promote to individual riders.
Rider safety is, first and foremost, the responsibility of every individual rider. The availability of riding opportunities is directly related to rider behavior, noise impacts from machines, and illegal riding by a minority of irresponsible riders. Safe and responsible OHV operation provides an enjoyable riding experience.
INOHVAA encourages all riders to follow posted riding rules, stay on designated trails/or within a designated riding area and seek appropriate training for the vehicles they choose to ride.
INOHVAA is a lead organization in promoting excellence in the management of organized OHV recreation.
