Mike from Mike’s Accessories took on a 2012 Arctic Cat 1000 Wildcat as his first off-road project with the goal of creating The Skull Crusher – “the nicest UTV ever built.”
His idea for the project came from his like of skulls and the fact that the UTV market is growing. In addition, he wanted to do an outside-the-box project. Mike began working on The Skull Crusher in late October of 2015 and took six months to complete it.
Mike plans to take the Skull Crusher to UTV/off-road and other types of shows. Just recently, he took The Skull Crusher to Brimstone’s White Knuckle Event in Huntsville, TN. The Skull Crusher will not be racing at all, but rather it will be “….a trailer queen like how a show car would be,” Mike said.
According to Mike, the estimated cost of a project such as The Skull Crusher is about $50,000. Numerous sponsors have been involved and they have contributed products for the project. The Skull Crusher Project will be active for a total of two years so he does not have future plans at this time.
