It was a totally awesome day of kickin’ up dust (literally and figuratively) and racking up miles on a select few of the 2017 Polaris off-road models near Cascade, MT, at the Bull Run Ranch.
Polaris has more new vehicles than we were able to evaluate on this excursion but we tried our best to get as much seat time on as many as we could. We were able to focus on the Ace 570 SP, which sports a new dual A-arm suspension package and the resulting better-than-before ride, the new General 4 1000 four seater with its comfortable and roomy cabin, the RZR XP 1000 EPS LE decked out with the trick Ride Command information/entertainment system, and last but surly not least, the Sportsman XP 1000 Matte Copper version with all of its upgrades and new amenities.
What’s our one takeaway from today’s ride? This might not be what you expect but our takeaway was that Polaris has just about (all?) every conceivable niche of off-roading covered with one or more of its vehicles. We rode everything today from work/utility vehicles, high performance ATVs and side-by-sides and most everything in between.
Which was our favorite? We can’t let out all our secrets quite yet so watch for detailed information on these units and more in future editions of Dirt Toys Magazine.
