If we were forced to choose just one word to describe Fox Shocks’ new shock, the 2.5 Podium X2, it would be “versatile.”
It seems like the Fox Podium X2 internal bypass shocks are darn near infinitely adjustable and takes the YXZ 1000R SE’s ride to the next level. The Yamaha-exclusive Fox shocks are available on the Special Edition manual shift and Sport Shift models only.
The 2.5-inch Podium X2 Shocks feature high/low speed compression, high/low speed rebound, dual coil springs and are cross over adjustable.
Those shocks were punished today as we hit some of the roughest trails southern Utah’s Sand Hollow OHV riding area. Seriously, we hit some stuff that lesser shocks would have begged for mercy on.
But we found, thanks to all the adjustability options, the setting that suited us just fine and we were able to hammer through whoops, rocks, rocky ridges, stutter bumps and anything else on the trail.
