Kenda is looking to hire a Sales & Product Innovation Manager for its powersports division.
Candidates should have the drive and passion to help grow sales and develop tires that will contribute to the overall growth of the division.
This position is responsible for handling Kenda’s current Original Equipment (OE) accounts, as well as increasing market share for Kenda and gaining more OE business. This position also requires product development with Kenda’s powersports tires, including identifying trends, working with Kenda engineers and assuring that Kenda Tires are competitively priced in the market.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / ACTIVITIES
- Customer account management with emphasis on problem solving, presentation of opportunities for customer needs and overall customer support
- Work with Kenda engineers to develop new tires relevant for the North American market
- Knowing and understanding customer requirements through research and market knowledge
- Seek out new sales opportunities for Kenda products with both new and existing customers
- Pricing and margin management
- Assist in budget creation
- Develop and create brand strategies
- Develop and present new product introduction plans, coordinating sales launch activities and new product releases
- Identify, qualify and create new products for assigned categories
- Assist in development of print and web based catalogs
- Conduct and review market research to anticipate market trends
- Ensure completeness and competitiveness of brand offering
- Represent the brand at critical trade and consumer shows
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Strong knowledge of the tire & powersports industry
- Knowledge of tire development
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in analyzing reports and forecasting logistics
- Instinctive feeling about future product concepts
- Experience in negotiations
- Experience in customer service
- Analytical power to comprehend current market situations
- Ability to travel

Experience:
Mandatory Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in product development
- Minimum 2 years experience in marketing
- Familiarity with Tire business and Powersports market
Preferred Requirements:
- Enthusiast of the Powersports industry
- Previous tire development knowledge
