The 50-inch wide Wildcat Trail family from Arctic Cat sets the standard in handling, power-to-weight, suspension travel and pricing for side-by-side enthusiasts. With an award-winning design and premium specifications, the Wildcat Trail, Trail XT and Trail LTD hit all the top performance benchmarks in this popular category.
They’re powered by a liquid-cooled 700cc parallel-twin engine featuring EFI and 4 valves per cylinder. This fun and sporty engine was designed specifically for the Wildcat Trail chassis, with great horsepower, less weight, improved efficiency and long-lasting durability. It feeds a precision tuned CVT system, with rider-selectable traction via electronic 2WD/4WD and locking front differential.
The Wildcat Trail chassis features a 40/60 percent front/rear weight distribution for optimal handling at high speed. The driver and passenger are located 3 inches lower than comparable models, lowering the center of gravity for improved handling while leaving occupants less affected by the movements of the vehicle. The result: greater rider confidence and control.
With industry-leading 10/10.5 inches of front/rear suspension travel and 10 inches of ground clearance, Wildcat Trail models are built to navigate trail obstacles. The front and rear double A-arm suspensions feature a sway bar that keeps the tires planted for outstanding traction and control.
Premium Fox nitrogen gas-charged shocks smooth the ride. Four-wheel hydraulic disc brakes deliver enhanced stopping power.
Other comfort and control features include: high back bucket seats with upper body supports, tilt steering, center console sport shifter, digital gauge, rear LED taillights, passenger handhold, 3-point seat belts, integrated glove box and easy-access hinged doors with industry leading automotive style handles/latches to complement the exterior lines.
A 300-lb. payload in the rear cargo bed is large enough to carry a cooler, while the rear 2-inch receiver and Carlisle Trail Pro tires were designed exclusively for the Wildcat Trail.
The base-level Wildcat Trail comes with steel wheels and half doors and is available in Black with Orange.
The Wildcat Trail XT adds the driving ease of electronic power steering (EPS), half doors and the custom style of aluminum wheels. It comes in Earth Blue with Lime Green.
The Wildcat Trail Limited includes the upgraded features found on XT model, plus it comes with full doors, under-hood storage, color-matched wheels, and color-matched ROPS. It’s available in Charcoal Metallic with Fire Red.

Wildcat Trail Technology
700 Engine
The twin-cylinder 700cc DOHC engine incorporates key features and technology for powering Wildcat Sport and Trail machines, including a closed-loop EFI system for quick throttle response and improved fuel economy; automatic idle speed actuator; a cam sensor for quick synchronization during startup; two-stage thermostat for rapid engine warm-up; hydraulic cam chain tensioner; a high strength, one-piece forged crankshaft; a single balance shaft and low inertia rare earth flywheel for reduced rotating mass and quick response; and a wet sump oiling system. It’s liquid-cooled with an auxiliary fan for consistent performance in all conditions.
High/Low/Reverse/Park With Electronic 2WD/4WD Differential Lock
The rugged transaxle system on the drivetrain features High range, Low range, Reverse and Park. Electronically selectable on-the-fly 2- and 4-wheel-drive is bolstered by selectable 4WD differential locking to achieve the desired traction and drive control in varying conditions.
Four-Wheel Hydraulic Disc Brakes
Hydraulic disc brakes on each wheel deliver enhanced braking performance and feel, effectively controlling all four wheels during deceleration. The Wildcat Sport features dual-piston front calipers and single-piston rear calipers. The Wildcat Trail comes with single-piston calipers.
Electronic Power Steering (EPS)
EPS provides varying electronic steering assist depending upon conditions, effort and speed. An Electronic Control Unit measures steering input force in relation to vehicle speed and tire resistance in order to provide the appropriate assist to the steering column via an electronic brushless motor. The varying levels of assist translate into a light steering input effort, especially when in 4WD with a locked differential, but with optimal feedback so that the rider senses the tire contact with the terrain.
JRi ECX -1 Gas Shocks
(Wildcat Sport XT)
The JRi ECX-1 gas shocks are built to handle the roughest terrain with high-volume 2.5-inch aluminum bodies and remote reservoirs for fade-free performance in demanding conditions. They feature 70-position compression adjustability that’s matched by spring preload adjustability for customized performance in all trail conditions.
Elka Stage 5 Gas Shocks

Premium Elka Stage 5 gas shocks are renowned for their class-leading off-road performance and tunability. They feature 2.5-inch aluminum bodies and remote reservoirs for fade-free performance in the most demanding conditions. Low- and high-speed compression and rebound adjustability complements spring preload adjustability for maximum suspension.

Easy Hinge Doors
Large, automotive-style door hinges ease entry/exit from the vehicle. They’re located on the outside of each door, where they’re easily reached for the driver and passenger, and are recessed to prevent entanglement with brush.
