Minneapolis – Polaris Industries announced the company has signed an endorsement agreement with powersports racer RJ Anderson. The agreement includes sponsorship of Anderson’s new No. 37 Polaris RZR/Monster Energy PRO-2 Truck for the Lucas Off-Road Racing Series (LORRS).
“RJ is a class act with his passion for the industry and expertise in racing off-road vehicles,” Craig Scanlon, general manager of the Polaris RZR division, said. “Polaris is excited to be part of his next racing endeavor and collaborating with him on extending the reach of the Polaris brand.”
Anderson, a long-time powersports racer, has been successful in off-road races with Polaris RZRs, and also was the star of the YouTube RZR XP1K video that went viral with more than 1.2 million views worldwide. The endorsement agreement furthers these efforts by not only extending Polaris’ reach into another part of the off-road racing world but enables Anderson to continue being a part of RZR marketing initiatives and events.
“I’ve always been a Polaris guy.” Anderson said. “I grew up racing in my Polaris RZRs. Then last year, I got a chance to do the RZR XP1K video by UTVUnderground.com and Mad Media. After more than a million views, we knew more people needed to see the RZR name out there. So we’re proud to have them on-board for a full season of PRO-2 action.”
RJ Anderson’s race program is sponsored by Polaris RZR, Monster Energy, Polaris Engineered Lubricants, Active Enterprises, SouthPoint, ThyssenKrupp Motorsports, Oakley, FK Rod Ends, Kroyer Racing Engines, MSD, K&N, Impact Helmets, Troy Lee Designs, UTVUnderground and Utendorfer Graphic Design Service.
