If you love motorized sports, there are not many better ways to beat the winter blues than to hit the Glamis sand dunes in southern California on a sport quad.
At the invite of Yamaha Motor Corp., we spent a couple of days earlier this week riding sport ATVs in the amazing sandy terrain at Glamis.
Formally known as the Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area, these dunes not only chase away the cold-the temps averaged about 74 degrees F during our rides-but also gave us a chance to ride some special edition Raptor 700s and YFZ 450Rs (http://www.yamaha-motor.com/) in the ideal conditions for those machines, play around with our new Go Pro Hero 2 (www.gopro.com) and eat some great food prepared by the guys from Camp Chef (www.campchef.com).
What an amazing couple of days. And did we mention we pretty much had the entire place to ourselves?
