ITP Introduces New UltraCross R Spec Tire For UTVs

Rugged 8-ply tire offered in 10 new sizes

January 2015 New Products

ITP has announced the introduction of 10 new sizes of UltraCross R Spec tires for side-by-sides and utility all-terrain vehicles (ATVs).

Manufactured from the same DNA as its Baja-winning UltraCross R Spec 30-inch tire, the new sizes cover a full range of vehicles, horsepower and terrain applications. The tires feature a unique multi-surface, non-directional tread pattern to enhance traction control on slippery surfaces and 8-ply radial construction for exceptional wear and puncture resistance.

"Side-by-side racers have had great success using these tires," notes Rhett Turpin, ITP powersports director of sales and marketing. "They are built to take the extreme conditions that are a hallmark of desert off-road racing and have become the tire of choice for podium finishers."

Turpin cites Team UTV, Inc.'s recent victories in the Baja 1000 and "Best in the Desert" Parker 250 as proof to the tire's construction and performance. Adds Turpin, "I'm proud to say both races, totaling over 1,250 miles, were won without a single flat."

The new UltraCross R Spec tires come in sizes ranging from 23 inches in diameter to 32 inches, covering a variety of vehicles and applications, from golf carts to super sport side-by-sides.

"Racers and side-by-side vehicle owners have been requesting new sizes of the R Specs tires for a while now," says Turpin, "and we are excited to finally meet the growing demand."

The new sizes should be available at dealerships in March, according to Turpin. Retail pricing has yet to be determined.
