The Great Western ATV/SxS Rally, Rally In The Pines, set for July 10-12, is in its 6th year and event organizers are offering new activities for 2015. Set in the beautiful town of Mackay, ID, the Rally is a three-day event and Saturday will be a special activity day featuring a Mega Fun Run, a geocaching ride and one of the most popular new activities, the Haunted Ghost Town Night Ride.
The Mega Fun Run started last year, but this year a complimentary lunch has been added and will be served up by KYMCO USA. KYMCO USA will be setting up the lunch and providing bratwursts and hot dogs. In addition to sponsoring the Mega Fun Run lunch, KYMCO USA will have a booth set up at the Rally In The Pines vendor area where everyone in attendance at the rally can find out more about KYMCO USA’s full line of ATVs and SxSs.
The Mega Fun Run is also sponsored by Camp Chef, who has provided all of its top quality BBQ stoves and accessories to cook the bratwursts and hot dogs on. And Bosski ATV/SxS Trailers is providing the side-by-side trailer that will haul all the needed supplies to Mammoth Canyon, where the lunch will take place. Two local businesses, Sammy’s Kitchen and Ivie’s Market are providing many other goodies for the lunch.
The Mega Fun Run “stops” are sponsored by Dirt Toys Magazine, ISOTA Off-Road and Paul Lanier, the local Amsoil dealer.
While Rally In The Pines has had night rides in the past, the Haunted Night Ride is new this year and will take place after dusk on the historic Mackay Mine Hill. This area has the remains of four old ghost towns. Plenty of surprises are in store for everyone on this ride. There will be 5 “stops” along the way with music, refreshments and prizes. And a few ghosts.
The Haunted Ghost Town Night Ride is sponsored by Trail Armor, Kurt’s Off-Road, Fireside Enterprises, The Eagle Rock ATV/SxS Club and the City Of Mackay.
Along with all of the great ATV/SxS group rides that are offered at Rally In The Pines, there will be an ATV/SxS parade down the streets of Mackay on Friday night during the Rally. Everyone who enters the parade will receive “Rally Prize Tickets” and the winners will receive prizes and Mackay Bucks. These bucks can be redeemed at any Mackay merchant or restaurant.
Another way to receive “Rally Prize Tickets” is to go on the geocaching ride on Saturday. For every geocache found, you will receive “Rally Prize Tickets.” This ride is sponsored by Fireside Enterprises, the local dealer/distributor for Diamond Back Truck Covers.
