Minneapolis - Team UXC Racer Torey Rush would line up his stock 2016 Polaris Ace 900 SP in the UTV 1000 Pro Class at the Core Series’ 4-hour Colorado 250 this past weekend and come away with an impressive second place finish behind a RZR XP 1000.
Rush drew the No. 2 starting position and when the green flag dropped, he’d get out front and hold the lead until the first long straight away about three miles into the race. Rush settled into second place with third and fourth coming up fast.
“I kept pushing the Ace and held second until first place blew a belt about an hour in. I got out front and kept pushing, giving the Ace all it had to give,” said Rush.
Rush was able to hold first until the second pit stop about three hours in when he was passed by second place. He was able to get back out and hold the second spot all the way to the checkered flag.
“The new Ace 900 SP worked flawlessly, handled the big jumps with ease and the new dual sway bars took the high speed corners just like a big machine,” added Rush. “The longer I raced the more confident I felt I even ended up lapping a few competitive UTVs.”
