When it comes to premium touring for one or two passengers, the 2017 Alterra 700 TRV XT marks a bold new direction courtesy of the new Alterra bodywork, key comfort features and proven Arctic Cat TRV performance.
Arctic Cat builds on its pioneering reputation in the two-rider-vehicle category with the Alterra TRV’s extended chassis featuring a newly-sculpted, extra comfortable two-passenger seat with padded backrest, new ergonomically friendly handles and raised passenger footrests, all of which deliver a premium 2-up riding experience for both the driver and passenger.
Key new features in the Alterra TRV platform include dual front tow hooks and dual halogen headlights with LED accents, plus dual rear LED lights. Also new, the steel-reinforced composite SpeedRack II front rack is now matched with an all-new, full-sized rear SpeedRack II, both featuring the integrated accessory attachment system offering 100/200-lb. capacities and secure, rubber-coated surfaces. This smart rack system enables quick attachment or removal of a wide array of useful accessories.
The TRV chassis offers double A-arm front and rear suspensions with 10 inches of travel and 11 inches of ground clearance, so you can ride the rough with confidence. A rear sway bar enhances cornering.
A 695cc Arctic Cat H1 engine featuring the convenience and consistency of Electronic Fuel Injection and the consistency of liquid-cooling gives the 700 TRV the performance to handle any adventure. It’s matched by the Duramatic Automatic transmission featuring high, low, reverse and park convenience.
Aiding in the Alterra TRV’s unmatched driver ease is Arctic Cat’s Variable Assist Electronic Power Steering (EPS), which delivers steering assistance that begins at engine idle and provides significantly reduced steering effort when in 4WD, especially when the differential lock is engaged.
When it’s time to go solo, a new and simple latch system allows you to easily remove the passenger seat/backrest combo, or you can replace the seat with a rack or accessory cargo box. Other premium features include hydraulic disc brakes, zero-maintenance suspension bushings, sealed drive shafts, a large 5.3-gallon fuel tank and a durable, full-length plastic skid plate.
The 700 TRV also features premium automotive-style paint and cast aluminum wheels wrapped with 25-in. Carlisle Trail Pro tires. It’s available in Team Arctic Green or Vibrant Red.
