Minneapolis - The Wild Boar in Palatka, FL, is the first GNCC race of the season and Team UXC came in ready to race.
Teammates Michael Swift, on his No. 202 Scrambler XP 1000 EPS, and Kevin Trantham, on his No. 209 Scrambler XP 1000 EPS, started mid pack off the line and quickly worked their way to the front. The duo would swap positions throughout the race with Swift ultimately finishing first and Trantham second.
Swift and Trantham would also line up their RZR S 1000 for the XC1 Pro class. Swift would take fourth while Trantham twelfth due to a mud trap he encountered.
In its second year being offered, the GNCC Single-Seat classes saw 11 racers, the most entries to date, line up in the SSXC class. Robert Boyton would take the win with Team UXC/Polaris factory racer Torey Rush taking second and Dillon Harper took third. Polaris factory racers Sam Yokley and Jesi Stracham would finish in the top five with a fourth and fifth. Team UXC/Polaris factory racer Becky Widdicome, from the United Kingdom, would take seventh.
The next GNCC ATV race is the Maxxis Cannonball in Sparta, GA, on March 12. The next UTV/Single-Seat round is VP Racing’s Big Buck, in Union, SC, on April 16,
