Minneapolis
- For the past five years, Polaris has aggressively launched new products,
evolved its off-road offerings and became No. 1 in the off-road industry with
one of the best and most-innovative ATV and side-by-side offerings available.
For model year 2013, Polaris will continue to innovate by introducing three new
vehicles and making significant upgrades to existing products.
"Polaris' innovation continues, once again, by creating
products that raise the performance and value bar in the off-road industry,"
David Longren, Polaris Off-Road Division's vice president and general manager,
said. "From the hardest working, smoothest riding ATV and Ranger side-by-sides,
to the RZR line with the ultimate combination of power, suspension and agility,
Polaris offers the most-complete line-up of off-road vehicles on the market."
Polaris Ranger utility vehicles are the hardest working, smoothest
riding side-by-sides available in full size, midsize and multi-passenger models.
Back for 2013, the full size Ranger 800 EFI is the standard of hardest working,
smoothest riding but for 2013, Polaris also is defining an all new class of
"Hardest Working, Smoothest Riding" with the new, full size Ranger XP 900. The vehicle
features a new ProStar 900 engine, all-new chassis, more suspension, new
restyled cockpit, new flip-up seat storage, larger gas tank, new
Lock&Ride PRO-FIT cab accessories,
easier serviceability and a quieter ride due to engine repositioning. The Ranger
XP 900 will join the Ranger 800 and Ranger Diesel in the full size category.
New to the Midsize line, the Ranger 800 EFI Midsize combines
Polaris' reliable 800cc engine with the midsize chassis for a combination that
provides big bore performance in a smaller, two-seat model that fits in the
back of a pickup truck. The Ranger 800 EFI Midsize is perfect for any customer
looking for a midsized footprint and price, with full size power. The unit has
many of the hardest working, smoothest riding features of its full-sized
counterparts: on-demand true all-wheel drive with VersaTrac, independent rear suspension,
heavy duty front end protection, high ground clearance and the longest suspension
travel in its class.
The Ranger 500 EFI, Ranger 400 and Ranger EV round out the
midsize offering.
Last year, Polaris added the Ranger Crew Diesel to its
multi-passenger offering and will continue to offer the vehicle along with the
Ranger Crew 800 and Ranger Crew 500. Polaris also will offer several limited
edition models across the full-size, midsize and multi-passenger segments
including Ranger XP 900, Ranger 800 EFI, Ranger 800 EFI Midsize, Ranger 500
EFI, Ranger Crew 800 and Ranger Crew 500 models.
The RZR family is the only side-by-side line with razor
sharp performance for the ultimate combination of power, suspension and
agility. For model year 2012, Polaris launched two vehicles, the new
trail-capable RZR 570 featuring the second ProStar engine built specifically
for a side-by-side, and this past January, the RZR XP 4 900, which delivers extreme
performance for four. For model year 2013, Polaris enhances the RZR lineup
again with a new RZR 570 Trail Limited Edition with Electronic Power Steering
(EPS), and, for the first time on a RZR, an Engine Braking System (EBS) and Versatrack
Turf Mode; a gnarly Walker Evans Limited Edition RZR XP 900; new dual rate
springs on the RZR 800 and more upgrades to the RZR family to make the line
even more razor sharp. Several RZR XP 900, RZR S 800 , RZR 800, RZR 570, RZR XP
4 and RZR 4 800 limited edition models also will be available.
For model year 2012, Polaris added more power on all 850cc
Sportsman models and 2013 sees more power added to the Entry/Sport line with
the introduction of the new Scrambler XP 850 H.O. in both a sporty Limited
Edition package with EPS and Fox Shocks and a base model. The Scrambler XP 850
H.O. is geared towards riders who want a more power and sportier ride in a
four-wheel drive vehicle. The vehicle couples the proven, 77 hp, 850 twin, high
output EFI engine, Polaris' exclusive on-demand, true all-wheel drive with a
sports tuned suspension and more streamlined design for a sport vehicle that
can tackle anything the trail throws its way.
For riders wanting even more performance in a 4x4, Polaris
is offering a Limited Edition model with Electronic Power Steering (EPS), Fox
Podium compression adjustable shocks, cast aluminum wheels, hand guards, cut
and sew seat, dual LED headlights and Stealth Black paint with a sportier
graphics package. The new Scrambler XP 850 H.O. rounds out the Entry/Sport line
which includes the Trail Boss 330, Trail Blazer 330 and Phoenix 200.
