Columbia, SC – Honda of South Carolina Manufacturing Inc., which specializes in the manufacturing of all-terrain vehicles and side-by-side vehicles, is expanding its Florence County manufacturing facility.
The company is investing $45 million in the project, resulting in the creation of 250 new jobs over the next few years.
Honda’s Timmonsville plant is one of the company’s 19 major manufacturing facilities in North America. Honda of South Carolina is the sole production facility for Honda ATVs and side-by-side vehicles in the region and associates there have produced more than three million products since it opened its doors in 1998.
In August 2015, Honda announced a $42 million investment, facilitating the addition of two new product lines – the Pioneer 1000 and Pioneer 1000-5. This latest $45 million project will allow the company to grow its facility by approximately 115,000 square-feet in order to meet increased customer demand for side-by-side production.
