Brea, Calif. – Suzuki Motor of America, Inc. (SMAI) is honored to once again bring a full display of motorcycles, scooters and ATVs to each stop of the 2017-2018 Progressive International Motorcycle Show (IMS) tour.
The tour began Friday, Nov. 17, at the series opener in Long Beach, CA, where Suzuki presented all of its 2018 models (including one model that is all-new to the U.S. market) to the press and the public.
Suzuki has exhibited on the IMS tour every year since the show’s inception. “The IMS tour, and its first show in Long Beach each year, marks a starting point that energizes our industry and sport each year,” Suzuki communications manager Paul LaBella said.
The IMS series travels to seven cities across the country between November and February, reaching well over 300,000 consumers, and offering exhibitors the opportunity to showcase their entire lineup of products. As LaBella pointed out, during these winter months, enthusiasts are hungry for information which they gather and analyze in preparation of making buying decisions for the Spring riding season.
At this year’s shows, here is some of what you will see from Suzuki.
- Attendees will get to learn about the MotoAmerica Superbike championship winning GSX-R1000 with a cutaway engine display.
- Suzuki will also be displaying the V-Strom 250 European model and offer consumers the opportunity to provide feedback by completing a survey.
- Another survey will highlight the SV Scrambler project bike, with Flat Track styling on one side and Scrambler styling on the other. This was created by Suzuki’s very own U.S.-based, in-house project development team and is constructed from the SV650.
- Consumers who fill out one of the two surveys at the Suzuki display will receive a “Show Special” electronic coupon good for $250 off any new Suzuki motorcycle, scooter, or ATV model with an engine displacement size of 200cc or larger. This coupon may be used in combination with all other current offers from Suzuki at the time of sale and will be valid within 30 days of the customer’s local IMS show. Consumers can see their local Suzuki dealer for information.
- Motocross enthusiasts will have the opportunity to examine a cutaway of the innovative, all-new 2018 RM-Z450’s suspension, including the SHOWA coil spring front fork and the SHOWA Balance Free Rear Cushion (BFRC) shock absorber.
- At select shows, attendees will also have the chance to meet reigning MotoAmerica Superbike Champion Toni Elias, as well as Autotrader/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing team rider Weston Peick.
