Shipshewana, IN - Mudd-Ox Inc. and the LaGrange County Economic
Development Corporation, in conjunction with LaGrange County, have announced
the expansion of their facility north of Shipshewana, IN, in LaGrange County.
Mudd-Ox Inc. is a manufacturer of both six- and
eight-wheeled and tracked all-terrain vehicles. The business was started
by owner Matt Oxender in late 2005 after he saw the need for an improved
recreational and commercial ATV. This project will consist of the purchase
of a number of CNC and other various machinery and will support the creation of
up to three new positions, as well as the retention of an current staffing
levels.
The LaGrange County Council, at the request of the LaGrange
County Economic Development Corporation, approved the use of tax abatements on
the investment into the new facility, estimated to be valued at around
$125,000.
Mudd-Ox also received a grant from the LaGrange County
Investment Fund. "We are grateful for the support we receive and the

County Economic Development Corporation," Oxender, president of Mudd-Ox, Inc,
