Minneapolis, MN – Polaris RZR Racing dominated the field this past weekend with multiple podiums at round three of the WORCS series in Peoria, AZ, and the Lucas Oil Off Road Series (LOORS) season-opener at Glen Helen Raceway. Polaris RZR drivers secured six podiums across three classes over the course of the weekend.
RZR sponsored athlete Corbin Leaverton secured his second consecutive WORCS Pro Stock win, placing him atop the WORCS Pro Stock leader board with 65 total points. For the second time this season, RZR factory driver Cody Bradbury fell short to his nephew, Leaverton, earning a second place finish. RZR factory driver Shelby Anderson edged out RZR sponsored athlete Matt Hancock by 10 seconds and earned the final spot on the all-RZR SXS Pro Stock podium. Through three rounds, Hancock is second on the WORCS Pro Stock leader board with 56 total points, while Bradbury ranks fourth with 50 points and Anderson fifth with 45.
Adding to his fourth place Pro Stock finish, Hancock won a neck-and-neck battle in the SxS Pro class, where the top four finishers were separated by only five seconds.
“I am pumped to get another win at WORCS this weekend,” said Leaverton. “The team had the RZR dialed in for this important round three race, and we couldn’t be happier to be heading in to Vegas atop the leader board with a healthy points lead.”
RZR drivers were also prominent at the LOORS season-opener, with Chance Haugen grinding out a second place finish and Ronnie Anderson finishing third, despite taking a heavy hit to the rear of his vehicle.
Polaris RZR factory racing has secured nine wins and 21 podiums in the 2019 calendar race series. RZR factory racing looks to continue its success on April 5 at the SCORE season opener San Felipe 250 in Baja California, Mexico and the UTV World Championship in Laughlin, NV.
