Ontario, Calif. - Team ITP ATV and side-by-side racers competed in numerous racing series the weekend of Oct. 4-6 across the United States. ITP-supported racer John Pacheco took the SxS Pro Production 1000 class title in the Southern California Dirt Series. Kyle Chaney piloted his ITP-clad SxS to the overall win at the UTV Rally Raid Northern Series race in Tennessee. ITP ATV and side-by-side racers also competed in the ATV Pro Challenge and round 10 of Texas Quad Racing Association, coming away with five class wins and 13 total podiums, in Texas. ITP SxS racers also competed in the annual Mojave Off-Road Enthusiasts Ladies Race Toward a Cure off-road race at Glen Helen in Devore, CA

"Our tires have proven they can withstand heavy abuse in serious racing conditions, giving our racers a shot at championships," Pat McGuire, Public Relations/Race Support, said. "John Pacheco did just that, winning the Dirt Series SxS Pro Production 1000 class. Our sponsored riders and teams did very well securing multiple class overall wins in several different series. At the ATV Pro Challenge and TQRA event, Jeffrey Rastrelli, of JB Racing/ITP, rode very well in the Pro class and set the fastest lap time of the weekend on Sunday."

California SxS Events

At the final race of the Dirt Series held at Milestone MX Park in Riverside, CA, Team IMG Motorsports/ITP side-by-side racer John Pacheco finished second in the SxS Pro Production 1000 class using ITP BajaCross tires. Pacheco and teammate James Hill, who runs ITP wheels on his SxS, were separated by just six points heading into the final round. However, Hill suffered mechanical troubles during both motos while Pacheco raced in the front of the pack and posted his fourth podium finish of the year. The second-place podium finish let Pacheco not only pass his teammate for the points lead, but also win the first-ever Dirt Series SxS Pro Production 1000 class title for ITP.

At the MORE Ladies Race Toward a Cure charity race at Glen Helen Raceway in SoCal, ITP racers earned two top-five spots in the 1800 class. Christy McGuffin took second overall and Kimberly Dunn was fourth. Renee Hudson and Joanne Gonzales finished sixth and seventh, respectively. The off-road charity event is held during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and honors both survivors and those who lost their fight with the breast cancer, a disease that is diagnosed in more than 200,000 women each year in the United States, according to statistics from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

ATV Pro Challenge/TQRA

ITP racers won a total of five classes and earned 13 total podium finishes at Round 10 of the TQRA series, which also hosted the prestigious ATV Pro Challenge in Memory of Caleb Moore race. The race was held at Underground MX in Kemp, TX

In the Pro class, which featured 20 racers, ITP rider Jeffrey Rastrelli finished sixth overall in the three, 15-minute moto format. His 7-6-4 scorecard was good for a sixth-place finish. Rastrelli ran ITP Holeshot MXR6 rear tires and Quadcross MX2 front tires on the sandy track and set the fastest lap time of the weekend on Sunday. He also competed in the Open Expert class, winning moto one and coming in a very close second in moto two to earn second overall.

ITP had several other racers earn victories and podium finishes. Victories went to Sam Rowe (Open A), Haedyn Mickelson (450B/Open B), Brogan Guyer (90 Open Sr. 12-15) and Megan Manshack (Women's Open). ITP racers earning podiums included Alex Gillette (second, 450B/Open B) Noah Mickelson (second, Youth Co-Ed 12+), Manshack (third, 450B) Brogan Guyer (third, Super Mini 150cc) and Maddison Guyer (third, Women's Open). Many racers chose to run ITP Quadcross MX PRO rears and Quadcross MX2 fronts, while some went with a Turf Tamer Classic MX rear and Quadcross MX front setup.

The weekend featured a $30,000 purse for the Pro class as well as other classes for sport quads, 4x4s and side-by-side vehicles. It also included a preview of the new film "Butter: All Moto Flavored," monster truck rides, freestyle exhibition, prize giveaways and more. Race attendees Cody Ford and Garret Crowley also each won a set of ITP tires from Pat McGuire. For more info on the race, visit www.atvprochallenge.com.
