Idaho's largest motorcycle event returns for the ninth time on Sept. 16-18 and will feature more cool stuff than ever.
As usual, there will be three days of hillclimbing (day and night under the lights), pumpkin shooting, helicopter rides, 500-horsepower air boat rides, supported dual sport ride, giant fireworks show, camping, paved VIP parking for Harleys, Gold Wings and other great road bikes, food, drinks, kid's carnival ride, ATV Safari and freestyle shows.
But this year will be even better. Fur (and mud) will fly at the new mud drag, which is coming to the field behind the campground and will feature classes for trucks, jeeps, ATVs and bikes. Jagermeister is bringing back its half-million dollar stage (the Nasty is the only event in Idaho that gets it this year) and there will be some great new bands playing on it. Also added for the event are monster truck rides as well the reworking of a number of classes to better suit minibike riders and riders with old (antique) bikes.
And the infamous X-Climb, featuring starting gates and side-by-side hillclimbing, finally arrives in Nasty Land this year. This will be the best Big Nasty yet.
New, updated 2011 entry forms for the 2011 Big Nasty Hillclimb will be posted by July 15 on the website at www.bignastyhillclimb.com.
