(ED--Due to a lack of Internet (not that we're complaining), we are a little behind on posting about our great trip to Baja California. This web update was meant for Saturday night ... more to come.)
Riding from the Baja California Pacific Ocean side city of Ensenada over the Sierra de Jaurez Mountains and down to the desert, past the Valle de la Trinidad to the dry lake bed and into the town of San Felipe on the Gulf of California was more than fun.
It was magnifico.
We dialed up 166 miles on the day and saw all sorts of landscapes. Desert, mountains, desert, a huge dry lake bed, all kinds of cactus, lots of pine trees, a rabbit or two and sun shine all day. That is what we had to “endure” on day one of our three-day ride.
Bruce and his crew from Go Baja/Go Desert Off-Road Riding Tours (www.gobajariding.com) are our guides and hosts for the trip and we couldn’t be in better hands.
We can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
