Duck hunting, skeet shooting, dogs and hogs … all right up the new Polaris Ranger XP 1000’s alley.
If that doesn’t make much sense, then it will once you sit in and drive the new Ranger XP 1000. That’s what we did today near Jonesville, LA, at the Honey Brake Lodge (www.honeybrake.com/). The Ranger XP 1000 has a whole host of new features that make it even more appealing to the outdoorsman … or farmer/rancher (or all three), depending on your need for a great rec/utility vehicle that has all the creature comforts you would not expect from a utility side-by-side. It also comes with more power than last year’s model (82 vs. 80 hp) and some great cockpit features.
We even got to spend some time in a Ranger equipped with the Pro Shield Cab System, complete with windows, a wiper, full doors and, perhaps the most appreciated today, air conditioning. It was 80-90 degrees F with 60 plus percent humidity. Yea, we’re all over that one.
